By default Linux may install and use the wrong driver for nvidia GPUs/ and Graphics Cards. These may need to be disabled before the NVidia driver can be installed.

Nvidia Will offer to attempt to balcklist them itself. This didn't work when I tried, but it may be worth attempting.

Disabling a driver

Blacklist the driver Centos

edit the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf:

blacklist nouveau

edit /etc/grub.conf and add the following argument:

rdblacklist=nouveau

Reboot the systems and install the Nvidia Driver.
