Mail Servers
There are four main parts to a mail server, the MTA, the MUA, the MDA and the MSA.

| MUA | Mail User Agent | mutt, Evolution, thunderbird |
| MDA | Mail Delivery Agent | procmail |
| MSA | Mail Submission Agent | Postfix, sendmail |
Protocols
There are three main protocols used for Email Servers: SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4.
