vCenter 6.7 Appliance Deployment
- Download the vCenter 6.7 appliance installation iso
\\10.0.0.222\software\VM WareVMware-VCSA-all-6.7.0-15132721.iso
- Open the ISO on your Windows laptop and run the GUI installer:
D:\vcsa-ui-installer\win32\isntaller.exe
- Click 'Install'
- 'Select deployment type' section, select 'Embedded Platform Services Controller'
- 'Appliance deployment target' section, specify ESXi host details
- 'Set up appliance VM' section, ensure VM name is unique on the ESXi host and specify root password
- 'Select deployment size' section, leave as 'Tiny' and 'Default' storage
- 'Select datastore' section, select appropriate datastore and tick 'Enable Thin Disk Mode'
- 'Configure network settings' section. If this is incorrectly set you will not be able to access the vCenter Servers web interface to correct the error. Specify the following:
- IP address
- Subnet mask
- Default gateway
- Internal DNS server
- Click 'next' and 'finish' to deploy the vCenter 6.7 appliance to the ESXi host
vCenter 6.7 Server Configuration
- Once the appliance has finished deploying log into it's web interface using it's IP 'https://vcenter_ip' to begin configuration
Login to vCenter Server Web Interface
- Navigate to the vCenter Server Web Interface e.g. https://vcenter_server_ip/ui
- Login as 'administrator@vsphere.local'
