Samba Daemons

There are three daemons that need to be running:

  • smbd - Samba Service
  • nmbd - NetBIOS Name Service
  • winbind

The three deamons will start accoding to the configuration defined in the smb.conf file: 


SMBDOPTIONS="-D"
NMBDOPTIONS="-D"
WINDBINDOPTIONS=""
