Grub Security

During Installation if Grub was configued with a password you will see an extra line in the grub.conf file that dsets the password, show as an md5 hash.

password --md5 $123445dsfnsdfnsdbjdfs

To set a new password for grub use the 'grub-md5-crypt' and copy the new hashed password to the grub.conf file.

Adding a password directive to a kernel stanze requires the password in order to boot that kernel.
