Different systems often need to be kept on the same time, in order for them to work together.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
All systems have a hardware clock, which may rely on a battery.  Battery by definition will lose power, which in turn leads to the clock losing time.  Installing the NTP client allows the hardware clock to by sync with an external clock.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
