Disable Pass Through on ESXi Host
- Ensure pass through is disabled on ESXi host via one of the following:
- Note: Changes will require an ESXi host restart
- ESXi web interface:
- Under Manage\Hardware\PCI Devices the NVIDIA items should be set as follows:
- SR-IOV: Not capable
- Passthrough Disabled
- Under Manage\Hardware\PCI Devices the NVIDIA items should be set as follows:
- vCenter Server web interface:
- Under Hosts and Clusters\Configure\Hardware\PCI Devices\All PCI devices the status of NVIDIA items should be 'Unavailble'
- Ensure 'Shared Direct' settings are set correctly:
- Log into vCenter Server web interface
- Under:
- Hosts and Clusters\Configure\Hardware\Graphics\Graphics Devices\Edit\Shared Direct
- Hosts and Clusters\Configure\Hardware\Graphics\Host Graphics\Edit\Shared Direct
- Confirm they are both set to 'Shared Direct' 'Vendor shared passthrough graphics'
