Hyper Visor Configuration

Right clicking on a hypervisors will show the details and settings. These allow storage, networks and host details to be configured.

Hyper-visor Host Details

Connection URI for the hypervisor
Hostname Hostname for the VM host
Hypervisor QEMU is use by KVM
Memory Available RAM for the VMs
Logical CPUs Available CPU cores for the VMs
Architecture CPU Architecture
Autoconnect Set to auto connect to the hyper visor

Hyper-visor Networks

The Network Section of the hyper-visor configuration. This section will control which network addresses will be given to the VMs if they send a DHCP request. The configuration allows networks to be set up, deleted and started automatically. It will also define the range of addresses that can be used.

Hyper-visor Storage

The hyper-visors storage can also be configured to change the location of the virtual hard drives.

Hyper-visor Network Interfaces

This section lists the physical devices the VMs can connect to. There are four ways a VM can connect to an Interface.

Bridge Binds a Physical and Virtual Interface, usually found with Xen
Bond Connect multiple interfaces as if the were one
Ethernet Sets up a bridge to a virtual interface
VLAN Connects a network interface to the VM system
