This is usually caused by a left over mount in the Chroma database.

You need to enter psql and checdk the status on and left over client mounts.

su postgres
psql chroma -U chroma
select * from chroma_core_lustreclientmount;

If this returns a / some entries this is most likely what is causing the fs to fail to stop.

Issue the below to remove it.

update chroma_core_lustreclientmount set state='removed';
/q      #To quit

Restart chroma-supervisor on the IML and then you should be able to stop the file system.

 /etc/init.d/chroma-supervisor restart
