  • Notes to be padded out whenever i get it work!

Test Environment:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Install Microsoft.NET 3.5 (from the VMware installer)

Installation

  • Fairly straight forward, next next next. In this instance we did not have AD installed for single sign-on.

Starting up the vCentre services

Start the Orchestrator Configuration Service

The VMware vCenter Orchestrator configuration service is not started by default. You must start it manually before you try to access the Orchestrator configuration interface. If you installed Orchestrator using GUI or console mode, the Web configuration service is already started.

  1. Select Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Services.
  2. Locate the VMware vCenter Orchestrator Configuration service on the list and check its status.
  3. If the configuration service is not running, right-click VMware vCenter Orchestrator Configuration and select Start.

The service is now running and the Orchestrator configuration interface is available for use. You can log in to the Orchestrator configuration interface and start the process of configuring Orchestrator.
