Download files/directory from a location (recursively)

 wget -r --no-parent --reject "index.html*" -nH http://xyz.com/dir/dir1


Resume a partially downloaded file: use the -c flag

  wget -c http://ftp.ussg.iu.edu/linux/ubuntu-releases/5.10/ubuntu-5.10-install-i386.iso
