Email Servers
Email Servers are used to handle incoming and outgoing mail. A number of services can be used in RHEL for this purpose, the two main ones being postfix and sendmail.
The default mail service for RHEL is postfix. This is a change from sendmail, as postfix was designed to be easier to configure. However despite the change sendmail is still the most common email server in use.
