General
- September 7th submission
- Pre tender meeting on Aug 14th
- Delivery is 4 weeks from placement of order Can this be done?
- 8.1 Bids shall be valid for minimum 180 days from the date of submission. 90 days was max for cern bids?
- Penalties:
- C-DAC reserves the right to levy penalty @ 0.5% of order value per week of delay beyond the scheduled shipment/ delivery/ implementation of the order successfully, subject to maximum of 5 % of the order value.
- C-DAC reserves the right to cancel the order in case the delay is more than 5 weeks. In case of cancellation of purchase order due to delay, C-DAC reserves the right to forfeit the Security Deposit submitted.
- Security Deposit (not seen one of these before!)
- The successful bidder will be required to furnish the Security Deposit for 5% of the order value within 7 days of receipt of Supply Order. The Security Deposit will be in INR and shall be submitted in the form of Demand Draft of an Indian Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of CDAC payable at Pune. The Indian representative can submit security deposit on behalf of foreign bidder. The Security Deposit will be returned upon completion of installation & commissioning, final acceptance of the entire system and submission of PBG.
Award Criteria
- 14. Award Criteria
- 14.1 CDAC shall award the contract to the eligible bidder whose technical bid has been accepted and determined as the lowest evaluated commercial bid.
- 14.2 The Schedule of Requirement consists of multiple items. The bidder must quote for all the items mentioned under Schedule of Requirement. The lowest price criteria shall be applied on the total of all items.
- 14.3 If more than one bidder happens to quote the same lowest price, CDAC reserves the right to decide the criteria and further process for awarding the contract.

- Must be K20 or Xeon Phi
- Tesla cannot meet requirements (665 Gflops per card)
- AMD Card? HD Radeon 7970? Will this meet requirements?

- 16 Core node, 2.6Ghz (e5-2670), 64GB ram
- 2x 16x PCI Gen 3 for accelerator/gpu
- 2x 146GB SAS 6GB 10k (RAID0/1 through hardware raid)
Compilation Nodes
- As above, but with 128GB RAM and only 1x GPU/Accelerator

- Does not meet mandatory requirement of 8 flops per clock cycle per core
